                                                                                                                                     PUBLIC NOTICE OF ZONING CHANGE

 

            The City Council of the City of Panama City Beach will hold a public hearing to consider the following entitled, proposed ordinance for adoption at the regularly scheduled meeting of July 9, 2020.

 Adoption of this ordinance may change the actual list of permitted, conditional, or prohibited uses for the property shown on the map in the Ordinance

            ORDINANCE NO 1512 

AN ORDINANCE REZONING FROM R1-A TO PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD) THAT CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND LYING WITHIN THE CITY OF PANAMA CITY BEACH, FLORIDA, CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 81.9 ACRES; LOCATED ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF HIGHWAY 79 AT THE NORTHERN CITY BOUNDARY, A PORTION OF PARCEL ID 32720-010-000, ALL AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THE ORDINANCE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT AS PROVIDED BY LAW.

            A public hearing on the ordinance will be held on July 9, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as may be heard, at the City Council’s regular meeting at City Hall located at 17007 Panama City Beach Parkway.  All interested persons are encouraged to attend and be heard.  During the public hearing, the ordinance will be presented to the City Council for adoption. The ordinance may be adopted during or following the public hearing.

            The public is invited to review the proposal at City Hall between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Public comment will be received either verbally or in written form.  Anyone not appearing in person may submit written comments to the City Manager at 17007 Panama City Beach Parkway, Panama City Beach FL 32407, any time prior to the stated meeting time.  All comments received will be considered before final action is taken. 

            If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Council with respect to any matter considered at the meeting, if an appeal is available, such person will need a record of the proceeding, and such person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
