The Code Enforcement Department utilizes the City codes and ordinances to enhance our community's quality of life and public safety. Codes and ordinances are thoughtfully established through a legal process to maintain a safe and thriving community, and our Code Enforcement Officers are directed to employ those codes and ordinances. As a result, our residents enjoy safe and clean neighborhoods, businesses thrive, and visitors and locals alike can enjoy our beautiful sugar-white sandy beach and community amenities. Our Code Enforcement Officers intentionally work with property owners, business owners, and the public to make Panama City Beach the most desirable tourist destination around. We address challenges such as tall grass, illegal dumping, abandoned or neglected vehicles, right-of-way signage, deteriorated structures, double red flagsdogs on the beach, unpermitted vending, glass on the beach, sea turtle lighting concerns, foreclosed properties, business licensing, special events, and much more. We aim to add value to your quality of life through education, awareness, and fairness.
