Small crowd of people under the pier picking up trash on a hazy morning on the sandy beach

The City of Panama City Beach encourages everyone to take care of our community, and especially our sandy beach, by keeping it free of trash and debris. The City has several Leave No Trace ordinances passed in 2012, requiring visitors and locals to leave no trace behind them after leaving the beach. If your brought it to the beach, please take it with you when you leave.

In addition, the City partners with Keep Panama City Beach Beautiful in its efforts to keep the community clean. Keep PCB Beautiful conducts regular beach and other community cleanups and sponsors an "adopt-a-beach-access" program, whereby our public beach accesses are cleaned regularly by volunteers.

City Ordinance No. 1242 prohibits tents and other personal property left on the beach overnight. Any unattended tents or property left at night shall be deemed abandoned and may be removed.

City Ordinance No. 1301 prohibits animals on the sandy beach, with the exception of the Dog Beach, located just to the west of the Russell-Fields City Pier. This does not apply to any dog trained to aid disabled or handicapped persons, when any such dog is actually being used to assist any such person. Regardless of where you are in the city, please pick up after your dog.

Keep PCB Beautiful is a non-profit community 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to litter prevention, beautification and waste reduction. Check out the Keep Panama City Beach Beautiful website for more information or email keeppcbbeautiful@gmail.com.
