Panama City Beach Parks and Recreation hosts Summer Camps, for ages 4 to 18. The goal for our summer camp programs is to provide children with a fun and exciting summer filled with memories and new friends. There are different camps each week, Monday through Friday. Camps run from one up to five days and focus around six themes: Aquatics, Fine Arts, Gaming, Science, Specialty, and Sports. Prices vary and must be paid in full at the time of registration. Registration will begin March 3, 2025, and will end 5 business days prior to the start of each scheduled camp (while space is available). All camps are on a first come first served basis.

Total Body Workout
This class will have a low impact cardio warmup, strength training for the upper body, lower body, and core, followed by stretching during cooldown. Equipment will include a variety of implements such as your own body weight, light hand weights, resistance bands, balance balls, and mat work.

Gentle Yoga
This gentle class is suitable for students of all levels, from beginners to lifelong learners. The slow flow class links movement and breath to create gentleness through the postures. Poses improve flexibility, balance, strength, and agility, guiding participants toward lifelong well-being. Detailed instruction on the poses is provided, and they are held to allow time for exploring posture alignment and movement with breath. This yoga class is great for anyone looking to enjoy a full-body workout with the grace of intention and body awareness.

Strength Training
A 45-minute strength fitness class using dumbbells. Focusing on strength but with proper form. It is a full body class working all body parts equally. We will do a 10-minute warmup and a 5-minute cool down. Please bring your own mat, towel and water.

M.O.V.E. (Motion Optimizes Vibrant Energy)
It's a mat class with routines to improve our overall body awareness while stretching, increasing agility, balance & flexibility while ensuring proper alignment and correct breathing techniques. All levels of exercise experience are welcomed as modifications and repetitions are based on individual ability. Class includes a full body workout that includes warm up, lower body, waist/abdomen, and upper body routines with a cool down. No two classes will be the same.

Line Dancing
Line dancing is a popular form of dance where participants perform synchronized dance moves in a line formation. It's a social activity where individuals dance in unison, following a choreographed sequence of steps.
This type of dance is often done to country music but can be adapted to various music genres. Line dancing is accessible to people of all ages and skill levels, making it a fun and inclusive activity for everyone.
The beauty of line dancing lies in its simplicity and ability to bring people together through music and movement. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced dancer, line dancing offers a great way to stay active, socialize, and have a good time.

Water Exercise
Our unique community of aquatic fitness enthusiasts is growing! Experienced instructors keep the variety fun and challenging while daily classes provide opportunities for anyone to join in, even those with the busiest of schedules. To make it even more interesting, several of our instructors have extensive backgrounds in specialty areas like yoga, aquatic therapy, swim instruction, triathlons, and others. Participants must be at least 14 years of age or accompanied by an adult. All skill levels are encouraged to participate.

FACILITY ACTIVITES
Fields: With 9 Softball/Baseball Fields, 3 full-size soccer fields, and 4 Multipurpose fields Frank Brown Park has the space for your next tournament. The park is also home to 8 self-pitching batting cages located behind Field 8, which are free to use unless reserved for practice. As you come into the park you will find the Miracle League Field made with a premiere court and accessible for players.

Festival Site: Gulf Coast Jam, Thunder Beach, Scottish Festival, Circus, and many more events are hosted at this 22-acre lot of land located in Frank Brown Park. This area can also be turned into multi-purpose fields for practices or games.
*Call and ask the Facilities & Special Events Program Coordinator for pricing and availabilities. Every event is required to complete a facility use required this can be found on our website and must be approved by the city manager.
Playground Area: At the park, we have five different playgrounds. Each age group is fenced in and shaded or located on our sandy courts. Located in the middle of the park, with a rentable covered pavilion, water fountains, and bathrooms, this makes the perfect place for a day at the park.
Shuffle Courts: We have two shuffleboard courts. If you forget to bring your own pucks and cues, you can check a set out at our community center by dropping off an ID.
Basketball Courts: We offer two outdoor basketball courts that are open from sunup to sundown and are centrally located in the center of our park.
Tennis Wall & Courts: Placed directly behind our Community Center is our Tennis wall. If you need some practice this is a great place to try to better your game. Once you are ready to hit on the courts, take a quick walk over to our three outdoor courts. These courts are free and open to the public from sunup and lit for night play.

Pavilion Rentals: Rent the Playground or Lakeside pavilion for a birthday or family event at the park. The Playground is great for families with kids, while the Lakeside offers a serene setting. Both have picnic tables, grills, and restrooms. Customize with decorations and activities like scavenger hunts. Reserve in advance for the preferred date. Park staff can help with special requests.

Youth Fishing Pond: We want to foster fishing as a sport by encouraging our younger residents to visit the Youth Fishing Pond, located near the trailhead to Gayle's Trails and the Dog park. This pond is stocked with catfish, bream, and bass once a year for 16 years or younger to fish. An adult may accompany but must have a Fishing License. Rules & daily limits are posted at the pond. We also host an annual Fishing Rodeo every year that is free and open to the youth of our community.

Gayle's Trail: Gayle's Trails is part of a growing trail system that will eventually span the entirety of Panama City Beach. The trailhead is located past the youth fishing pond near the back of the park. Great for walkers, runners, and dog walkers, and well suited for cyclists with all of its linear trails being paved.

Dog Park: We love dogs here! With three different dog parks, everyone can have fun in the park. The Lazy Dog Zone is for the older, slower, and smaller dogs. Dogs 25 lbs and smaller are encouraged to hang out with the lazy dogs. The Party Dog Zone is for dogs with high energy. It's a fun play area where dogs that get along with other dogs can play and cool off in the summer with their very own pool. Near the Youth Fishing Pond shaded by the pine trees sits our Lakeside Dog Run. With a ramp, tunnel, and seesaw will have a blast learning on the agility course training equipment.

Pool Info: We have 2 outdoor pools at the Aquatic Center. A deep water swim test will be required for all swimmers to be able to use the diving boards, obstacle course, and deep end of the pool.
