The City of Panama City Beach is committed to the highest standards of financial management. The City Council, City Manager, and staff work together to ensure that all financial matters of the City are addressed with care and integrity and with the best interests of the City in mind.

The City has a responsibility to its citizens to carefully account for public funds, to manage municipal finance wisely, and to provide adequate funding of services desired by the public and as required by laws, rules and regulations, including the provision and maintenance of public facilities and improvements. Sound financial policies are necessary to carry out this responsibility. The City Council approved the following Financial Management Policy in August 2020:
