Beautiful beach December 2020 condo in background and blue sky and water

The City of Panama City Beach has nine miles of sugar white sand along the clear, emerald-green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Another nine miles of beach exists in unincorporated Bay County, both east and west of the City limits.

As a vacation, family-friendly, and retirement destination, Panama City Beach consistently ranks among the top beaches in the United States from TripAdvisor, Condé Nast Traveler, The Travel Channel, USA Today, Southern Living, and more.

A citizen survey conducted in the summer of 2020 found that residents appreciate where they live. Eighty-nine percent said Panama City Beach is a good or excellent place to visit while 69 percent said it was a good or excellence place to retire. Another 75 percent said it is a good or excellent place to live. Seventy-one percent said the qualify of life here is excellent or good.

Family attractions, fishing opportunities, golf courses, sporting events, award-winning dining, beautiful predictably sunny weather and many recreational activities draw visitors to this seaside destination annually. Many of our visitors have been coming to Panama City Beach for 20 to 30 years; many others have purchased second homes here, and others have made Panama City Beach their retirement destination.

There are nearly 100 public beach access points along the Gulf, with about 55 being inside the City limits. Here is a map showing all the access points.
