The Planning Department implements the goals, objectives and policies of the Comprehensive Plan and Future Land Use Map through regulations found in the Land Development Code and the Zoning Map Series.  Some of the Department's duties include review of site development plans, annexation and rezoning requests, signs, variances, tree protection and monitoring the capacity of public facilities, Planning Board and Tree Board administration, and recommending updates to the Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code.
