In order to obtain permits in the City of Panama City Beach, contractors must be licensed through the State of Florida. State licensed contractors must also be registered with the City of Panama City Beach Building Department.

State Certified Contractors

To become registered with the City of Panama City Beach after obtaining your State of Florida Certified license from the DBPR, please see our State Certified Qualifier form which lists the requirements for registration. For the Workers Compensation Insurance Certificate the Certificate Holder should be: City of Panama City Beach Building Department, 116 South Arnold St., Panama City Beach, FL 32413.

Contractor Authorization

Please use our Contractor Authorization Form if anyone other than the license holder will be applying for permits, calling for inspections, or otherwise acting on behalf of the license holder.

Trust Accounts

Any contractor who is registered with the City of Panama City Beach may request to set up a trust account to be used for the payment of permits, competency card payments, and re-inspection fees if needed. To request a trust account, please complete and return our Trust Account Application.

This list of active contractors is updated regularly but may not list all contractors in our area or those that have registered with us recently. Contractors must have a Florida Certified or Florida Registered license.
