Code Enforcement
The Code Enforcement Department utilizes the City codes and ordinances to enhance our community's quality of life and public safety. Codes and ordinances are thoughtfully established through a legal process to maintain a safe and thriving community, and our Code Enforcement Officers are directed to employ those codes and ordinances. As a result, our residents enjoy safe and clean neighborhoods, businesses thrive, and visitors and locals alike can enjoy our beautiful sugar-white sandy beach and community amenities. Our Code Enforcement Officers intentionally work with property owners, business owners, and the public to make Panama City Beach the most desirable tourist destination around. We address challenges such as tall grass, illegal dumping, abandoned or neglected vehicles, right-of-way signage, deteriorated structures, double red flags, dogs on the beach, unpermitted vending, glass on the beach, sea turtle lighting concerns, foreclosed properties, business licensing, special events, and much more. We aim to add value to your quality of life through education, awareness, and fairness.
Three ways to report a concern.
- SeeClickFix: SeeClickFix is an easy and quick interactive link that will send your report to the appropriate city division. The division will be made aware of your concern and will look for ways to best address it.

Can I remain anonymous when I report a concern?
House Bill 883 (passed on July 1, 2021) prohibits Code Enforcement Officers from investigating anonymous complaints. The person making the complaint must provide their name and address for a Code Enforcement Officer to investigate a potential code or ordinance violation.
